YO Protocol encountered an abnormal token swap event, with approximately $3.84 million worth of stkGHO exchanged for only $122,000 USDC.

On January 13, the blockchain security company BlockSec published a report revealing an abnormal Swap event on the YO Protocol on the Ethereum network: approximately 3.84 million USD worth of stkGHO was ultimately exchanged for only about 122,000 USDC. After the incident, the YO Protocol team took measures including repurchasing GHO and re-depositing stkGHO into the vault to mitigate the impact. Investigations show that the large price discrepancy may have been caused by two overlapping factors: first, the transaction initiator provided incorrect output quotes or improperly set slippage parameters, effectively causing the slippage protection to fail; second, an abnormal route in the executePath parameter led the transaction to be directed to a liquidity pool with extremely high fee tiers and very thin liquidity, resulting in a large amount of fees being extracted and causing severe price shocks.
