AI Agent startup Temporal completes $300 million Series D funding, led by a16z

Deep Tide TechFlow News, February 18 — According to Reuters, AI agent startup Temporal announced the completion of a $300 million Series D funding round, valuing the company at $5 billion. a16z led the investment, with Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sapphire Ventures, and existing investors including Sequoia Capital participating.

The company stated that this funding round is not aimed at “chasing a moment in artificial intelligence,” but rather to build a platform to address the reliability challenges common in AI agents during complex, long-running processes. Currently, AI companies like OpenAI, as well as Snap, Netflix, and JPMorgan Chase, are among its users.
