Techub News reports that a16z crypto investment partner Noah Levine tweeted that Bloomberg previously cited x402 org data indicating AI agents paid approximately $24 million over the past 30 days. However, when combined with Allium Labs data and after removing inflated figures, the actual scale may be around $1.6 million. Currently, AI payment activities are mainly focused on developer tools, including web scraping platform Firecrawl, AI browser Browserbase, and AI image platform Freepik. Companies like Stripe, Cloudflare, and Vercel have integrated Coinbase’s developed payment standard x402, and Google has also embedded this system into its proxy payment protocol.
