Casper: The Attack Vector on the testnet has been fixed, no funds were stolen, and the Mainnet has not been affected.
According to official sources, Casper has announced that it has fixed the Attack Vector on the testnet. It was reported that there was an increase in volume on the testnet on August 7th UTC, and an investigation revealed that a large number of transactions were submitted within a few hours, all of which called the addbid routine on the auction contract. The attack vector exploited the fact that no minimum value was specified for the addbid function in the auction contract, and tens of thousands of transactions calling the addbid function were submitted on the test network at almost zero cost, with the bid amounts close to zero. It is reported that Casper will increase the cost of addbid to 3,500 CSPR and introduce a minimum bid of 10,000 CSPR, and the community does not need to take further action. No funds have been stolen, and the Mainnet has not been affected.
