Have you ever had this feeling? You casually mention to a friend that you want to eat hotpot, and when you scroll through your phone, all you see are hotpot ads. This kind of precise monitoring truly makes people feel helpless.

The problem with Web2 is obvious—the user data is exploited layer by layer by companies, and we have almost no privacy to speak of. The emergence of Web3 originally promised to change all this, but what happened? The characteristics of public blockchains are transparency; all transaction records and wallet balances are stored on-chain, which actually makes privacy issues more complicated😅

However, recently I’ve seen some new ideas from certain teams that are quite interesting. Instead of letting data run naked on the public chain, it’s better to migrate computation execution and state management to the user’s local device, so that only the results need to be verified on-chain without exposing details. This "execution layer decentralization" approach might find a new balance between transparency and privacy.

Really, privacy issues are unavoidable in both Web2 and Web3—one is overt theft, the other covert theft. Decentralizing the execution layer is a good idea, but who will supervise local verification? On the surface, Web3 appears more transparent; checking the wallet reveals everything, which actually feels more dangerous.

The hotpot advertisement is really outrageous, but to be honest, the Web3 path is even more messed up. Public chains are just transparent fish tanks, and privacy is completely gone.

Haha, it's the same story again. Web3 can't save our privacy either.

Haha, this is really embarrassing. Web3 was supposed to save us, but instead it exposed us completely. Honestly, the idea of localizing at the execution layer is really good; it's definitely better than full transparency now.

Oh my god, I've been scammed too. I just said I wanted to eat spicy hotpot, and then the ads flooded in. Web3 claims to liberate us, but it turns out to be more transparent—just look up the wallet address and everything leaks... The logic is truly ironic. This local execution approach sounds good in theory, but can it really be implemented... or should we just continue to be monitored?
