Cryptocurrency's Quiet Evolution: From Identity-Driven to Invisible Infrastructure

Abstract generation in progress

【Crypto World】A big venture capital investor recently shared an quite interesting perspective — cryptocurrencies are quietly transforming.

What is the current model? Everyone is playing the airdrop and points game, essentially exploiting existing users. The user pool is fixed, and growth potential is actually limited, making it a “liquid casino.”

But things will be different moving forward. Cryptocurrencies will gradually penetrate into fintech, payments, and AI sectors. Blockchain will no longer be the main focus but will instead hide in the background as an “invisible employee” — responsible for the underlying logic of payments and ownership. When that happens, users will open ordinary apps, with experiences indistinguishable from other software, and they won’t even feel that blockchain is working behind the scenes. The competition will shift to user experience itself, rather than technical labels.

Well said. The airdrop points system has long become tiresome, and players are numb to it. The real key is to integrate into daily applications. Users don't care about blockchain at all; they only care about whether it's easy to use.

Airdrop points are really played out; it's just repeatedly scamming existing users, which is pointless. The true future of blockchain still lies in privacy; users don't care about technology at all, only whether they can use it. Wait, if that's the case, wouldn't the price drivers for those coins disappear... So, who's going to foot the bill? That's correct, but this road is still long; right now, many people are still just speculating on concepts.

That's right, it's just a game of hot potato now—whoever takes the last hit will be unlucky. Hiding behind the scenes is the real strategy; blockchain doesn't need to keep popping out to show off its presence.

Currently, those playing airdrops are just harvesting quick gains; the truly interesting part is the behind-the-scenes infrastructure—it's the future.

theoretically speaking, this vc guy's basically just describing how we move from ponzi optics to actual infrastructure... which, given the historical data, should've happened like 3 years ago lol
