Spot trading should avoid chasing breakouts; only take advantage of "emotional pullbacks."
This spot trade occurred on the third day after the market's continuous rebound. The overall market sentiment clearly improved, but the volume did not increase accordingly. I judge this to be more of a technical correction rather than a trend reversal. My logic is simple: do not chase the hottest stocks, do not buy the strongest, only buy during pullbacks when emotional overreactions occur.
In terms of operation, I chose a mainstream altcoin with a moderate previous increase but a complete structure, placing three staggered buy orders, all near key moving averages. The first dip did not execute any trades as there was no fill; during the second pullback with increased volume, I finally filled my core position.
Looking back, the key to this trade was not the entry point but restraint from impulsiveness. If I had chased the breakout, I might have been quickly shaken out by volatility. Although I didn't buy at the absolute bottom, the advantage was a comfortable position and a stable mindset.
To summarize my experience in one sentence: spot trading is not about courage, but patience. Opportunities given by the market often appear when you are not in a hurry.
