Nissan Motor Reports YoY Production Decline in November 2025 Operations
Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. (NSANY, NSANF, 7201.T) released its operational metrics for November 2025, revealing mixed performance across global markets with notable YoY contractions. Global sales reached 265,067 vehicles, marking a 4.9% YoY decline compared to the previous year’s figures. The Japanese domestic market presented a more challenging picture, with sales including Minivehicles experiencing a steeper 26.5% YoY contraction.
On the production front, the automaker faced headwinds across its global manufacturing footprint. Worldwide output totaled 257,008 vehicles, representing a 4.2% YoY decrease. The most significant pressure emerged from domestic operations, where Japanese production facilities generated 41,874 vehicles—a substantial 31.6% YoY slide from November 2024 levels.
The company attributed shifts in its Indian operations to the divestiture of its stake in Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., resulting in revised comparable figures that now reflect only Nissan-branded production volumes. Year-on-year assessments were recalibrated against prior periods excluding Renault manufacturing contributions, ensuring consistent baseline comparisons across reporting periods.
