After working in this industry for a few years, you'll notice a pattern—every so often, a new batch of "experts" emerges, posting screenshots of doubled investments, claiming that following their trades can lead to financial freedom. But after a few months, these people are often nowhere to be found, while their retail followers are flooded with losing trades.

Instead of dreaming of finding a master to guide you, ask yourself a question: are those who can consistently make money in the market really smarter than others? In reality, no. Their advantage lies in—being more aware of and respecting market rules, allowing them to survive longer.

I have a case that left a deep impression. A trader once followed several so-called "gurus," only to start with small gains and end up losing all his capital each time. Later, he changed his strategy, starting with 1,200 units of capital, and strictly adhered to a trading discipline. In just three months, his account grew to 38,000. He said this was the first time he experienced stable returns in the crypto market.

So what exactly is this discipline? The most core principle is: **Capital is your lifeline**. Without capital, there’s no chance to turn things around. Many people go all-in with their entire savings, panic and cut losses at the slightest market fluctuation, or stubbornly hold on until they lose everything. The correct approach is to divide your funds into several parts, control risk per trade, so even if one trade fails, your account can continue to operate.

Those who survive long-term in this market are often not the smartest traders, but those who understand how to survive.

ngl, the "stable revenue" copium hits different when you realize it's just risk segmentation dressed up as discipline. been there, watched the validator attrition happen in real time.

ngl this hits different when you're sitting on failed txs and watching your gas fees burn up... the "stay alive longer" thing? yeah, that's literally portfolio management 101 but somehow everyone skips that chapter lmao
