Many traders get confused just by looking at candlestick charts, but the key is learning how to read MACD. When used correctly, this indicator can help you avoid many pitfalls. Today, I will break down the 8 most practical buy signals of MACD.

**First: Upward Retest and Shakeout**

A correction appears above the zero line in the trend, with the bars shortening and then expanding again — this is not a sign of weakening, but a shakeout of funds. At this point, low-positioning with the trend offers the highest safety.

**Second: Walking in the Clouds**

Bars remain above the zero line, with minor corrections not turning green. This indicates that the bulls are fully in control. The movement may be slow, but the winning probability is very high.

**Third: Lotus Blooming from Water**

MACD crosses from below the zero line to above, with red bars starting to expand. This is the earliest signal of a shift from weak to strong, and many major trends begin here.

**Fourth: Swan Spreading Wings**

Red bars continue to grow, with the two lines sloping steeply. The market forms a consensus bullish expectation, and such a trend waits for no one — missing it means missing out.

**Fifth: Lingering Bottom**

Bars are extremely short, with the two lines entangled near the zero line. Bulls and bears are still stalemated, and the direction is uncertain, but once volume breaks out, it often marks the start of a new trend.

**Sixth: Cable Car Signal**

Green bars keep shrinking, and the two lines start to rise. Failing to fall is more important than rising — this indicates the exhaustion of the bears. Early probing positions should control risk carefully.

**Seventh: Bottom Cable**

MACD drifts away from the zero line, but momentum clearly weakens. Panic has mostly been released; high risk with high reward.

**Eighth: Divergence of Bottom Fishing**

Price hits new lows, but MACD does not follow with a new low. This shows the decline is inertia, not real downward force. Reversals often hide at this point.

**Core Logic in One Sentence**

MACD observes changes in strength, not just red and green colors. The true buy point = position + structure + rhythm — all three are indispensable. Mastering these 8 patterns, you'll find that the best opportunities often appear when most people are most confused.

Sounds good, but I still think MACD is just a reference; the real people who make money rely on their mindset.

It's just MACD and patterns again. Saying it so complicated is actually just gambling on human nature, haha.

To be honest, the MACD system sounds fancy, but all profitable traders know that you need to get the position, structure, and rhythm right—missing any one of them is pointless.

Hey, it's MACD and chart patterns again, sounds like a textbook, but in actual trading, it's still easy to get caught off guard...

nah actually... statistically speaking most traders still chase the divergence signals and wonder why they get liquidated. reminds me of UST in May when everyone was staring at MACD crosses instead of the peg 💀
