Ripple (XRP): Can the rebound in open contract volume trigger a 50% increase?
Ripple (XRP) is about to enter a crucial year in 2026 after a milestone 2025. In 2025, XRP settled its lawsuit with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and hit a record high of $3.65. Although the current XRP price has fallen below $2 and open interest has dropped to its lowest in six months, bullish signals are emerging. Since October last year, the exchange’s XRP balance has plummeted 57% to 1.6 billion coins, reaching an 8-year low, indicating long-term holding demand in the market. The TD Sequential buy signal suggests a potential reversal; if the price breaks above $2, it could trigger a 50% increase, with a target price of $3. The spot XRP ETF launched in 2025 is expected to further support XRP’s price and solidify its role in cross-border payments. Currently, the spot XRP ETF has attracted $1.14 billion in net inflows.
