When it comes to portable identity verification, people often see it as a user feature, but in reality, it involves three completely different parties with distinct demands.

On the user side, the goal is simple—completing a single KYC process is enough, without repeated verifications. For application developers? They hope to reduce user onboarding costs and minimize regulatory hassles. And regulatory agencies have different requirements—they need identity information to be verifiable, consistent, and auditable.

The problem is that most existing identity systems haven't truly solved this triangular challenge. There are still many technical and institutional pitfalls to address.

One KYC for a lifetime, sounds great in theory but what about in reality? Regulators have been waiting for you to make a mistake.

This triangle deadlock... It feels like everyone is blowing their own horn, and the frequencies just don't match up.

Haha, it's that old familiar KYC issue again. Each third party operates independently, and no one can be truly satisfied.

Finished KYC once? Haha, the regulators definitely won't agree, that's just how the reality is.

Another seemingly beautiful pseudo-requirement. Each party has their own calculations, and no one can compromise, while technology cannot fill this gap.

This triangle dilemma, to put it simply, is that everyone wants to win effortlessly and no one wants to take the blame.

This triangle can never be unraveled. Users want comfort, developers want convenience, regulators want control... nobody can win completely.

This triangle of deadlock... users want convenience, developers want to make money, regulators want control—no one can be satisfied.

Still thinking about this at 3 a.m... The three-party demands are fundamentally a zero-sum game: users want convenience, developers want to reduce costs, and regulators want traceability. Who has truly cracked this in the market? From the data, it’s completely a false sense of security.
