Many people misunderstand the essence of the reward mechanism. On the surface, it appears to be a payment issue, but in reality, it reflects the shaping of contributors' mindset.

In the information financial ecosystem, what is truly lacking is not incentive tools, but long-term thinking. Currently, most systems are pursuing rapid iteration and short-term results, with few people seriously considering tokenomics design and the sustainability of structured governance. This short-sighted approach is eroding the entire ecosystem.

A good system is not the one that burns money the fastest, but the one that enables participants to establish the correct mindset from the very beginning. Once contributors are accustomed to short-term incentive models, it becomes too late to change.

That's so true. The essence of the reward mechanism is to cultivate a mindset habit, and once it goes astray, it's all over.

You make some good points. Currently, everyone is just burning money to compete for talent, and no one is thinking about how to cultivate a healthy ecosystem. Web3 is still repeating the old tricks of traditional finance. No matter how fancy the incentive design is, it will ultimately fail due to short-term thinking. The key is to change the participants' mindset; otherwise, no matter how much money is invested, it will be useless.

It's a bit harsh but true—most projects are just short-term money grabs, never considering sustainability. They started off with the wrong mindset, and it's basically impossible to change that later. Right now, Web3 is in need of truly patient designers like this.

Exactly, I deeply understand this. Many projects just get addicted to burning money; they attract new users in the short term and then fail. The short-sighted approach is truly toxic. Once users taste the thrill of quick money, any attempt to build something valuable afterward is doomed to fail. So now I primarily look at governance design when evaluating projects, rather than how much token output there is. Projects with long-term thinking are really scarce.
