Ethereum is preparing for artificial intelligence (AI) through the proposed EIP-8004 "Trustless Proxy" standard. The standard introduces three lightweight registries for identity, reputation, and verification to enable an on-chain proxy economy. This upgrade aligns with the Glamsterdam hard fork scheduled for the first half of 2026, which aims to reduce block times to approximately 6 seconds.
