The Russian Social Security Fund recently released some interesting data — by 2025, the unified contact center has handled over 37 million consultation calls. Guess what people ask about the most? Many are asking if they can directly receive pensions in cryptocurrency, and some want to clarify whether mining income should be included in social benefits. The official response is quite straightforward: pensions and various social benefits must be paid in rubles, and not a single cent can be replaced with crypto assets. As for the tax issues related to crypto assets, that will be up to the Federal Tax Service of Russia to define and handle. It seems that countries are taking this matter seriously.
