What will our financial world look like in five years?

Some things will never make the headlines, but they are everywhere. Just like power grids and 5G base stations—unseen, intangible, yet supporting the operation of the entire world.

Imagine that by then, most compliant on-chain financial transactions are processed through privacy-preserving and regulation-friendly protocols. Institutions smoothly issue RWA assets, and ordinary users enjoy secure transaction experiences without even noticing. All of this happens behind a seamless interface, and users are unaware of the underlying complexity.

This is the true "hidden champion." Not projects that make headlines every day or raise funds constantly, but those quietly becoming infrastructure and enabling the entire ecosystem to operate.

Ultimately, future competition is about becoming an irreplaceable presence.

I've heard similar rhetoric before, and 2018 was the same. Talking about infrastructure, irreplacability, but in the end, it's all about who can survive until tomorrow. RWA sounds good, but do you really dare to pledge institutional assets on a certain protocol? I definitely don't have that courage.

Lying flat observer, occasionally complaining. Optimistic about infrastructure, annoyed by marketing accounts --- **Generated comment:** Sounds nice, but isn't it just about who can survive the longest... --- The infrastructure sector has indeed been seriously underestimated, but the reality is that everyone is still hyping concepts --- Five years? I think three years is enough; you can't imagine the current iteration speed --- Invisible champions sound quite comfortable, but when it really comes down to it, it's mostly a power game --- Alright, I don't believe that many institutions will genuinely embrace on-chain finance --- People say this every year. When will we finally see something real?

Infrastructure is the real king, those projects that ride the hot topics for funding will be gone in five years.

This is the ultimate form of Web3. Compared to projects that constantly issue tokens for fundraising, it's actually the invisible infrastructure that truly wins.

Infrastructure is the real king, those projects that ride the trending searches every day will eventually fade away. --- Well said, the hidden champions are the true winners, but unfortunately most people only see the bubbles. --- The ones that will still be around five years from now are probably these kinds of projects; others are just cannon fodder. --- RWA (Real World Assets) indeed has the potential to produce hidden giants, but the prerequisite is surviving until then... --- Got it, so the idea is to find those nobody protocols, right? But the question is, how to find them? --- There's a saying that true strength is invisible, I buy into this logic. --- This idea is good, but practically it's too difficult. Who knows which protocol can become the infrastructure?
