Abstract generation in progress

【Crypto World】Recently, the official Gate released the latest reserve report. The data in this report is quite eye-catching—every indicator is steadily improving.

As of January 6, 2026, Gate’s total reserve ratio increased from 124% to 125%, with a total reserve size of $9.478 billion, covering nearly 500 types of user assets. What does this mean? Simply put, the platform not only can cover all user assets but also maintains a sufficient excess buffer.

Let’s look at the specific core assets. For BTC, the total user holdings are 17,640 BTC, with Gate’s reserves at 24,817 BTC, and the excess reserve ratio increased from 33.96% to 40.69%—a significant increase in reserves. ETH also remains stable, with a total user holding of 337,565 ETH, Gate’s reserves at 419,320 ETH (a slight increase from 419,096 ETH in the previous period), and an over-collateralization ratio of 24.22%. As for the stablecoin USDT, the total user holdings increased from 1.333 billion to 1.385 billion, with Gate’s reserves reaching 1.516 billion.

From this report, it appears that Gate maintains stable reserves for mainstream assets. Regularly publishing such data also demonstrates the platform’s commitment to asset security to users.

125% sounds great, but this 1% increase... is it real growth or just data adjustment? Anyway, every time I see reports like this, I wonder how much I can trust these numbers.

Hmm, 125% sounds pretty good. An increasing ratio indicates they are indeed replenishing their reserves. As expected, you still need to keep an eye on these data points and not just listen to their hype. Reserves can cover 500 types of assets? That's the real point to focus on. BTC over-coverage rate has increased from 33% to 40%, it seems they are really stockpiling. But you need to keep watching and not get brainwashed by a single report.

125%?Alright, the digital assets in cold wallets have increased again --- BTC reserves directly jumped to over 40%, this wave is really stable --- Wait, 9.478 billion, is that real? Feels like it's just hype again --- No, ETH hasn't moved much and you're still bragging? I don't get it, everyone --- Covering 500 types of assets, I just want to know about our small coins --- I've heard about excess buffers too many times, the key is just not to run away --- Reserves ratio has increased again... honestly, I can't see much difference --- The 9.5 billion reserve sounds impressive, but with millions of users on the platform, it's just average when divided ---

The platform's self-inspection report data all look good, but let's see when it can actually be realized. But speaking of which, a 125% coverage rate is indeed much more conscientious than some exchanges. Why does it always feel like "steady improvement"? When will we see a significant leap? BTC reserves increased from 33% to 40%, which is still acceptable; at least it's not shrinking.

These numbers look pretty good, but bro, I have to be honest A 125% reserve ratio sounds comfortable, but can we really trust this? BTC reserves have increased, but it all feels like a show ETH hardly moved, still trying to fool us? Gate's reports are quite diligent... but I just want to ask, how many other exchanges can do the same
