The paper loss of the big whale is gradually narrowing: after BTC broke through $90,000, the losses from short positions opened after the 1011 event decreased to nearly $25 million.
According to the latest monitoring by on-chain data analyst @ai_9684xtpa, as BTC price surpasses the $90,000 mark, the unrealized loss of the mysterious large holder who shorted after the 1011 flash crash has been reduced to $24.86 million.
Position Status of the Top Three Main Coins
Ethereum (ETH) Under the Most Pressure
This whale has the largest ETH holdings, with 203,340.64 ETH, worth approximately $617 million. The average cost basis is $3,147.39, while the current ETH price hovers around $3,160. The unrealized loss has reached $22.65 million, accounting for over 90% of the total loss.
Bitcoin (BTC) Position Relatively Resilient
Approximately 1,000 BTC (about $90 million), with an average cost basis of $91,506.7. As the current price rises above $92,170, this position’s loss has shrunk to $1.64 million.
Solana (SOL) with the Lightest Loss
511,000 SOL holdings are now valued at $60 million, with an entry cost of $130.19. At the current price of $143.28, unrealized loss is only $573,000, making it the best performer among the three main positions.
Market Significance
The narrowing of this large position’s loss reflects a recent rebound in the crypto market—particularly the strong performance of BTC and SOL is gradually healing the wounds left by the 1011 flash crash. However, ETH’s stagnant price remains the biggest pain point for this large holder.
