For years, I struggled to breathe

I played so many sports that I can't even recall the exact moment a ball hit me and fractured my nasal septum.
I never had a painful memory of it, so I just kept living. I thought this was normal.
Then a friend told me he had surgery for the same thing. Not only did he regain his nasal breath, but his sense of smell increased 10x.
That pushed me to see a specialist today. The doctor was actually shocked, my nasal septum is completely fractured. She told me surgery would significantly elevate my quality of life.
So, here we are. The x-ray freaks me out a lil bit and my nose is broken. I’m getting it fixed to regain something I lost a long time ago.
Short term pain for long term health.
