Litong Electronics’ stock hits the daily limit, approaching its all-time high

Today (March 11), around 14:51, Litong Electronics (603629) suddenly surged in price within two minutes and hit the daily limit. By the close, the stock had 41,400 buy orders at the limit price, amounting to approximately 260 million yuan. The company previously reached an intraday high of 65.66 yuan per share on March 3 this year. After hitting the limit today, its latest price is very close to the historical high.

Litong Electronics mainly engages in AI computing power and LCD TV manufacturing. The company previously released an earnings forecast, expecting net profit of 270 million to 330 million yuan in 2025, a year-over-year increase of 996.83% to 1240.57%. The profit growth is mainly due to increased profitability in the computing power segment, narrowed losses in manufacturing, and positive fair value changes in external investments.

Besides Litong Electronics, other major gainers in the computing power leasing concept today include Ningbo Construction, Hongjing Technology, and GCL Energy Science & Technology.

Jiangsu Province releases “Brain-Computer Interface Industry Innovation Development Action Plan”

On March 10, Jiangsu Province’s Department of Industry and Information Technology and other departments issued the “Jiangsu Province Brain-Computer Interface Industry Innovation Development Action Plan” (referred to as the “Action Plan”). The plan proposes that by 2027, a number of brain-computer interface-related medical devices will complete registration and approval, a batch of innovative brain-computer interface products will be recognized, and at least two provincial-level brain-computer interface industrial clusters will be established. By 2030, the goal is to develop 2-3 leading enterprises with domestic and international influence, cultivate a group of specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, and form a relatively complete industrial ecosystem covering basic materials, core components, complete machines, and application services, actively striving to create a national future industry pilot zone.

To achieve these goals, Jiangsu will implement four major actions: industry innovation co-construction, application scenario open cultivation, industry main body expansion, and industrial support enhancement. The plan states that Jiangsu will support qualified universities to establish brain-computer interface colleges and promote interdisciplinary integration in brain science, life science, and information science.

The term “brain-computer interface,” a term full of sci-fi connotations, was first included in the government work report in 2026. It is listed alongside future energy, quantum technology, embodied intelligence, and 6G as one of the future industries to be cultivated and developed. This marks a significant top-level policy signal for the industry.

Accelerated application of brain-computer interfaces

A brain-computer interface (BCI) refers to a direct connection established between the human or animal brain and external devices, enabling information exchange between the brain and the device. Technologically, BCIs are mainly divided into invasive and non-invasive types, with the core difference being the contact method of sensors with the brain. Market preferences are also quite clear: data shows that among Chinese BCI companies, 88% adopt non-invasive technology routes, while only 12% use invasive methods.

In terms of application scenarios, the deployment of BCIs is expanding continuously. Currently, BCIs cover fields such as medical rehabilitation, consumer electronics, scientific research and education, and industrial control, with medical rehabilitation being the most urgent application area.

According to Northeast Securities research, the number of clinical trial registrations for BCIs in China has maintained rapid growth in recent years. Since 2013, a total of 95 related trials have been registered domestically. In 2024, 25 trials are expected to be registered, about three times the number of the previous year; the growth trend remains strong in 2025, with 28 registrations.

According to the “China Medical Device Industry Development Report (2025),” from 2025 to 2030, BCIs will mainly focus on medical technology, with non-invasive products accelerating in popularity. Under policy support, China’s market size is expected to rank second globally. After 2030, invasive technologies may achieve breakthroughs, with applications expanding into education and military sectors, and global regulatory systems becoming more complete. By around 2040, BCIs are expected to deeply integrate with artificial intelligence and robotics, enabling “enhanced human” functions, with the market size surpassing hundreds of billions of dollars.

Data from the China Electronic Information Industry Development Institute shows that in 2024, China’s BCI market size was 3.2 billion yuan, an 18.8% increase year-over-year. It is projected to reach 5.58 billion yuan by 2027, with a growth rate of 20%. McKinsey estimates that the global market for BCI medical applications could reach $40 billion by 2030.

Multiple concept stocks see significant pullbacks

Earlier this year, the A-share market experienced a wave of hype around BCI concepts, but the sector’s enthusiasm quickly cooled. According to Securities Times and Data Treasure, as of March 11, the average retreat of BCI concept stocks from their yearly highs was 19.8%. Stocks like Hige Communication, Prite, Botuo Biotech, Tom Cat, and Xiangyu Medical saw notable declines.

Hige Communication hit an intraday high on January 14, but has since retreated by 34.71%. The company mainly focuses on non-invasive BCIs, aiming to achieve civilian and specialized applications in perception control and related scenarios through breakthroughs in key technologies, core algorithms, and engineering practices.

Recently, trading activity in some BCI concept stocks in the A-share market has increased. Data shows that as of March 11, 14 BCI stocks have seen their average daily trading volume increase by over 10% since March. Nanjing Panda’s average daily trading volume in March is 1.099 billion yuan, a 131.52% increase from the previous period, ranking first. The company participated in a key R&D project in Jiangsu related to BCIs.

Other stocks with high trading activity include Xiangyu Medical, Sanbo Brain, Chengyitong, Hige Communication, and Aipeng Medical.

Institutional research is an important way to understand the latest industry developments of listed companies. This year, 12 BCI concept stocks have been visited by institutions, with five receiving over 100 institutional visits each: Xiangyu Medical, Aipeng Medical, Entropy Technology, Botuo Biotech, and 37 Interactive Entertainment.

Xiangyu Medical has been visited by 208 institutions this year, the most among all. During the latest survey, the company stated that it develops its own chips, electrodes, algorithms, and complete BCI core components. It expects to complete multi-modal and multi-paradigm upgrades for 27 core products by June 2026, and to launch nearly 100 BCI products by the end of 2026, with over 50 covering multiple modalities and paradigms.
