People’s Financial News, March 12 — According to reports, the State Council Food Safety Office will accelerate the improvement of the regulatory and standards system this year, promote a comprehensive revision of the Food Safety Law, and speed up the formulation and revision of standards related to pre-made dishes, pesticide and veterinary drug residue testing, cold chain transportation, and other food safety areas, ensuring that regulations are clear and enforceable.
It will establish sound mechanisms for inter-departmental consultation, joint inspections, and law enforcement, focusing on key areas and products such as campus food, “ghost” takeout, and the abuse of food additives, conducting regular special rectification campaigns.
The supervision of critical links such as edible agricultural products, food storage and transportation, online sales, and imported foods will be continuously strengthened. Illegal and irregular activities will be severely punished, creating a high-pressure situation of “immediate action and strict punishment” against violations.
For campus food safety, efforts will be made to deepen the “Internet + Transparent Kitchen” initiative, improve the centralized procurement system for campus ingredients, strengthen regular joint inspections, and prevent substandard food from entering schools.
The Food Safety Office will establish a “Blue Army” team for sampling inspections, focusing on urgent issues of public concern, enhancing targeted supervision and sampling, and accurately identifying potential risks to prevent problems before they occur.
