Cathay Securities (02611) stated that recently they have noticed reports that their controlling subsidiary, Guotai Junan International Holdings Limited, is being investigated by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

Upon verification, on March 10, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and the ICAC visited Guotai Junan International’s business premises with search warrants, took away some documents, and one employee of Guotai Junan International was taken away by the ICAC for cooperation in the investigation. The company attaches great importance to this and will continue to closely monitor the development of the situation.

The company stated that as of the date of this announcement, its operations are normal, all business activities are proceeding normally, and all operational activities are conducted in compliance and in an orderly manner. This incident will not have a significant impact on the company’s production and operations.
