German Chancellor: Europe Hopes to Establish New Transatlantic Partnership

German Chancellor Merz stated during his keynote speech at the Munich Security Conference on the 13th local time that the rules-based international order “is not perfect even at its best and no longer exists today.” Merz said that in an era of great power politics, Europe is not without opportunities and can fully “act decisively, united, and confidently” to defend its interests and values. When discussing the Greenland issue, Merz said Denmark can fully trust Europe, and European allies will also stand firmly on Denmark’s side. (CCTV News)
