[Red Envelope] Challenge Small Goal Day 190: 1531W
Today, the major stock index opened lower and closed in the red, down 0.81%, with market volume shrinking to 2.4 trillion yuan. The index is undergoing a normal correction, and a volatile trend is likely to follow. Today’s market sentiment showed significant divergence, mainly because last night’s external conflicts intensified again, causing a surge in oil and gas prices and disrupting the normal short-term thematic directions. Overall, the market was relatively weak today, but the leading stocks still showed good profit-taking effects. Computing electricity remains the main theme, and that hasn’t changed. After more than a week of continuous gains, a normal adjustment is expected, and the focus will still be on this sector moving forward. I finished work early today, ending a perfect week. Thanks to computing electricity for the pleasant surprises!
Today’s strongest sector was the chemical industry, benefiting from the escalation of external conflicts last night, which led to the strongest opening in the pre-market bidding. I previously mentioned that this defensive sector is heavily influenced by external factors, so I didn’t discuss it much. The main focus is still on the computing electricity theme. The sector has been rising strongly for over a week, with daily gains, but today there was significant divergence. Many believe this theme has ended and is no longer the main line. However, it’s unusual for a main theme to rise continuously for a week; profit-taking is inevitable. The main line can only go further after experiencing divergence, and it won’t end easily. As for future developments, pay attention to stocks that resist declines during sector adjustments today or next week, especially those that are being supported by market consensus, as well as new opportunities for low-priced sector rebounds. Currently, the core leader in computing electricity is GCL-Poly Energy, which needs no further explanation. Yesterday and today’s performance clearly demonstrated its influence on the sector. Moving forward, just watch whether it can continue to strengthen and drive the sector.
Regarding holdings, GCL-Poly Energy opened at the bid price without premium. Yesterday’s strongest stocks, GCL-Poly and JinKao, opened poorly, indicating that the market is expecting profit-taking in this sector today. Additionally, external conflicts caused oil, gas, and chemical prices to surge at the open, impacting this sector. So, I added a small position during the initial decline, then as the market strengthened and pulled the sector back, I gradually exited all positions at the highs. When ShunNa followed GCL-Poly’s rise, I fully cleared my holdings, as ShunNa had already weakened and was just following the trend yesterday. That’s a sign of weakness, so I exited. Southern Power Grid continues to hold its position. The reason for today’s core decision to fully exit is that the continuous rise in the computing electricity sector was bound to lead to profit-taking divergence. The opening of the sector today was below expectations. Also, Yunnan Energy’s regulatory review ends today, and based on recent trends, it’s likely to continue, but if it extends into next week, a large negative feedback could cause a collapse in the computing electricity sector. So, I prefer not to gamble on this risk. Fortunately, the valuation isn’t high, which can be referenced from the feedback after regulatory extensions in Pingtan, Hefu, Hangfa, and Lio, which all showed similar patterns the next day.
Tomorrow’s focus remains on the power grid and computing electricity sectors. Other sectors currently lack sustainability. This direction has already been clearly established as the main theme. Next week, watch for sector divergence and see who can resist declines and stand out, either by following the market’s leading stocks or by making up for the sector’s lagging position. The current limit-up streaks are still hard to achieve, so the likely pattern is a continuation of the previous trend seen in Shanhe and Hangfa, with breakouts and re-combinations. Today marks a perfect end to the week. Have a great weekend. March has started with a good omen, and I wish everyone a smooth journey in 2026. Let’s prepare for the big rebound in March, reclaim what was lost this month. Please support with likes, shares, and comments! Keep the momentum going!
