Florida Attorney General Launches Investigation Into Naval Gunfire Exchange Incident in Cuban Waters

On February 25th local time, Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody announced that she has directed the state’s prosecutors to collaborate with federal, state, and law enforcement partners to investigate the naval firing incident near Cuban waters. Earlier that day, Cuba’s Ministry of the Interior reported that Cuban border guards discovered a speedboat registered in Florida, USA, illegally entering Cuban territorial waters near Villa Clara Province. The two sides exchanged fire, resulting in four attackers from the other side being killed and six injured. (CCTV)
