Multiple Middle Eastern energy enterprises suspended or reduced production due to U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran

Due to the U.S. and Israel’s military strikes on Iran and ongoing disruptions in shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, several major energy companies operating in the Middle East have recently announced production halts or reductions. French energy giant TotalEnergies has stopped or is in the process of stopping some oil and natural gas production off the coasts of Qatar, Iraq, and the UAE, affecting approximately 15% of its global oil and gas output. Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has temporarily shut down its refineries. Kuwait Petroleum Corporation has begun reducing crude oil production and refining capacity. Qatar’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities have suspended operations. (Xinhua)
