The green upgrade of the building materials industry has become an essential question. As a brand in the building materials sector, Oriental Yuhong precisely positions itself at the policy forefront, embedding green development into the company’s core strategy, abandoning isolated green initiatives, and building a closed-loop system that spans R&D, production, application, and management. With solid strength, the company fulfills its dual-carbon commitments and becomes a pioneer in the industry’s green transformation.

Oriental Yuhong focuses on green technology to create a comprehensive green product matrix covering waterproofing, coatings, insulation, and other fields, balancing environmental performance with practical value. The company’s weather-resistant self-adhesive modified asphalt waterproofing membranes and breathable waterproof coatings for exterior walls have been successfully included in the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development’s “Good House” construction materials list for 2025. Thanks to their energy-saving, insulation, waterproofing, and breathability features, they effectively extend building lifespan and protect indoor health, precisely meeting high-quality residential construction needs.

In terms of innovative products, Oriental Yuhong continues to break through low-carbon technical barriers. Among them, Zhen·Zhiben bio-based waterproof coatings contain up to 38% bio-based content, significantly reducing reliance on traditional chemical raw materials and practicing circular economy principles; GES-300 solvent-free single-component polyurethane waterproof coatings achieve ultra-low VOC emissions; Dewaile Childhood Little Elephant antiviral paints realize a balance of environmental friendliness and functionality.

Oriental Yuhong also promotes the deep integration of intelligent manufacturing and green production, building an advanced large-scale green manufacturing system in the industry, with capacity layout and green upgrades progressing simultaneously. At the beginning of 2026, Changde Tiandingfeng Nonwoven Fabric Co., Ltd. and Yangpu Oriental Yuhong Building Materials Co., Ltd. were newly recognized as “National Green Factories.” To date, the company has nine major bases in Tangshan, Jinzhou, Huizhou, Kunming, Qingdao, Shanghai, Jingmen, Yangpu, and Changde, all awarded as national green factories, covering seven strategic regions across the country. This forms a vertically and horizontally interconnected green manufacturing network that radiates nationwide, achieving large-scale and intensive green capacity.

Furthermore, Oriental Yuhong drives industry green upgrading through technological innovation, continuously tackling core low-carbon technologies to build a technological moat. By 2025, its energy-saving and low-carbon modified asphalt roofing technology was included in the “Beijing Green and Low-Carbon Advanced Technology Recommendation Directory (2025).” The company has also successfully completed three “Good Material for Good Houses” technological projects, focusing on high weather resistance waterproofing, radiation insulation, and aerogel insulation technologies; and co-established a green building material raw material joint laboratory with Sinopec, breaking down industry chain barriers for green collaboration.

In terms of green electricity application and carbon management, Oriental Yuhong has established a refined control system to promote dual control of total carbon emissions and intensity. By the end of 2025, the company has built 26 photovoltaic power stations with a total installed capacity of 92 MW, and annual green electricity consumption exceeded 80 million kWh. All bases are advancing energy-saving projects such as biomass fuel utilization and electromechanical equipment upgrades to further reduce production energy consumption.

With a full-chain green layout, Oriental Yuhong not only achieves high-quality development but also drives upstream and downstream industry chain collaboration, promoting the industry’s transition from single-product greening to comprehensive low-carbon transformation. Looking ahead, the company will deepen green R&D, expand green production, enhance green electricity application, and improve carbon footprint management, further consolidating its advantages and contributing to the comprehensive green transformation of the building materials industry and the construction of a Beautiful China.
