“Racist,” “bigot,” and “phobic” are the three most abused words in the English language.


Lazy people use them to end conversations they can’t win.
Dangerous people use them to avoid conversations they don’t want you to have.
Call a pattern a pattern and you’re a bigot.
Cite a government report and you’re phobic.
Repeat what a perpetrator said about himself and you’re racist.
When every observation is hate speech, criminals hide behind vocabulary and cowards enforce it.
You didn’t make the world safer. You gave the worst people on earth a place to hide.
