Certified colors no longer in General Mills school meal items
General Mills has successfully removed all certified colors from its K-12 school meal products, achieving this goal ahead of its summer 2026 commitment. This was accomplished by reformulating its Lucky Charms 25% less sugar cereal, bringing its portfolio for schools to 100% free of certified colors. The company continues to work on removing certified colors from its broader US cereal portfolio and full US retail portfolio.
