National Bureau of Statistics: China's Energy Supply Security Has a Good Foundation

People’s Financial News, March 16 — Today (March 16) at 10 a.m., the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the economic performance of the first two months of 2026. The spokesperson from the National Bureau of Statistics stated that recent geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East have caused fluctuations in international oil prices, raising market concerns. However, China’s energy supply security is relatively strong, and the country has a solid foundation to respond to external market fluctuations. Currently, there are many uncertainties affecting international energy prices, and the impact on domestic prices from imports still needs to be observed. (CCTV News)
