Iran warns: Will target logistics of the "Ford" aircraft carrier! The US's third aircraft carrier, "Bush," may be deployed to the Middle East soon
According to CCTV News, on the 15th local time, a spokesperson from Iran’s Hatham Anbia Central Command of the Armed Forces stated that the presence of the U.S. “Ford” aircraft carrier in the Red Sea is considered a threat to Iran. Therefore, the logistics and support center serving the carrier strike group in the Red Sea will be targeted by Iran’s armed forces.
The “Ford” carrier strike group is currently involved in large-scale military operations against Iran conducted by the U.S. and Israel in the Red Sea.
According to reports from Iran on the 13th, the Iranian Armed Forces Command stated that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy launched an attack on the U.S. “Abraham Lincoln” aircraft carrier, which has now lost its combat capability and has left the area to return to the U.S.
Additionally, on the 7th, CCTV News reported that the U.S. Navy’s third carrier strike group, led by the “George H.W. Bush” aircraft carrier, is preparing to deploy “soon” to the Middle East. The specific timing and duration of deployment have not been announced.
The “Ford” aircraft carrier experienced a fire.
U.S. military: The main laundry room caught fire, unrelated to combat.
On March 12th local time, the U.S. Navy Central Command announced that a fire broke out in the main laundry room of the “Ford” aircraft carrier.
The fire was not related to combat, and the fire has been contained. Two sailors are receiving treatment and are not in danger. The ship’s propulsion system was not damaged, and the aircraft carrier currently operating in the Red Sea can continue its mission.
Previously, the U.S. Navy issued a statement on its official website denying reports of serious malfunctions in the “Ford” carrier’s sanitation system. The statement said that the systems on the “Ford” are functioning normally and meet the standards expected of a “Ford”-class carrier carrying over 4,000 personnel. During this deployment, the vacuum sewage system on the “Ford” has processed over 6 million flushes.
However, Captain Scarosi of the “Ford” acknowledged that there have been instances of “toilet clogs” onboard—though “engineering personnel responded quickly, and the impact was very brief.”
According to a recent report by The Wall Street Journal, citing a Navy official, the vacuum sewage system on the “Ford” has frequently malfunctioned, with about 90% of nearly 650 toilets damaged, requiring repairs almost daily.
Iran states that most of the missiles launched are over 10 years old.
On the evening of the 15th local time, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that early that morning, they carried out precise and destructive strikes against four U.S. air bases.
The announcement said that during the operation, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Navy used various ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and attack drones equipped with new warheads to attack U.S. military bases in the UAE (Zafar Air Base), Kuwait (Udayri Helicopter Base), Ali Salim Air Force Base, and Bahrain (Sheikh Isa Air Base), targeting command centers, air traffic control towers, hangars, warehouses, and logistics facilities.
Recent satellite images show that Iran’s armed forces have destroyed over 80% of the strategic radars and critical facilities at U.S. bases.
The spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that most of the missiles Iran currently launches are over 10 years old. Many of the missiles produced after the “12th War” on June 12 last year have not yet been used, and many of Iran’s missile depots remain untouched.
The IRGC spokesperson also said that, to date, Iran has launched approximately 700 missiles and 3,600 drones targeting the U.S. and Israel.
In the early hours of the 16th local time, Iraqi security sources reported that the U.S. diplomatic support center near Baghdad International Airport was attacked by drones and multiple rockets. On the evening of the 15th, the site was hit by three drones and five rockets.
