I feel like the hype around AI agents has definitely peaked from that first wave.

A while back, everyone was talking about it non-stop, like you'd miss the next era if you didn't jump on AI agents.

Looking at it now, the sentiment has clearly cooled down.

Which is normal.

A lot of things blow up initially, not because everyone actually needs them, but because they're novel, it makes people feel smart, they can ride the trend, and it creates a sense that they're staying ahead of the curve.

Once that first wave of spectators moves on, the ones who truly stick around are those with real needs, actual use cases, and who can actually put these tools to work.

For most others, they tried it, experimented with it, posted about it on social media, but ultimately went back to their original workflow.

The hype cooling down doesn't mean it's useless.

It just means the bubble has deflated, and now we're entering the stage where we'll see who actually knows how to use it.
