Chinese people's moral values are very distorted.

Once in high school, I casually chatted with a classmate's father, criticizing corrupt officials. He replied, "Where are officials not corrupt?"
When we talked about law and lawyers, he instead said, "Fucking lawyers, they lie and say black is white, white is black, and take so much black-hearted money."
At the time, I found it unbelievable that someone thought lawyers taking money was more hateful than corrupt officials. Now I understand, because Chinese people inherently worship power and despise the law.
