In February 2026, the pure electric three-row SUV ranks first in sales among all energy types, with NIO's new ES8 capturing over 50% market share in the Yangtze River Delta region.
On March 17, the latest data from China Automotive Terminal shows that by February 2026, the sales of large three-row SUVs are as follows: pure electric models with 24,145 units, fuel-powered with 21,439 units, plug-in hybrids with 14,954 units, and extended-range models with 12,011 units.
The monthly sales of pure electric large three-row SUVs rank first among all energy types, doubling the sales of extended-range models. Since overtaking in September 2025, pure electric large three-row SUV sales have continued to surpass extended-range models for six consecutive months, indicating a clear trend of market structural evolution.
In terms of performance, core pure electric products such as NIO’s all-new ES8, Tesla Model YL, and Leado L90 maintain steady market performance, ranking in the top three in sales. In the large SUV markets of Shanghai, Nanjing, and other Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai regions with concentrated consumer power, the all-new ES8 holds over 50% market share, meaning that for every two large SUVs sold, one is the all-new ES8. Cumulative data from January to February shows that the all-new ES8 remains the top seller in 12 northern directly governed cities and provincial capital cities, including Beijing, Tianjin, Changchun, Shenyang, Harbin, Shijiazhuang, Jinan, Taiyuan, Zhengzhou, Xi’an, Hohhot, and Yinchuan. Driven by core models, pure electric vehicles have become the mainstream choice for high-end family and business replacements.
