Keep on living
I’ve been in Guangzhou for over ten days and still haven’t found a suitable job.
It’s not that there are no jobs, but I just don’t want to do them. The salaries are ridiculously low, mostly three to four thousand yuan. I can’t believe this is a first-tier city. Maybe it’s because I lack skills! Everywhere you look, salaries are three to four thousand, and they usually don’t include meals or accommodation. To earn five or six thousand, you have to work in a factory with 12-hour shifts, and these jobs don’t pay social insurance or housing fund. I’m really feeling hopeless.
Many people say I have high standards but low skills. It’s true, three to four thousand is still money and can support oneself, but I just can’t accept it. I have debts, I need to save to build a house, and I haven’t gotten married yet. After deducting basic living expenses, I only have about two thousand yuan left each month. When will I be able to pay off debts, buy a house, and get married?
I really don’t know what to do next.
