Alibaba’s DAMO Academy held the “XuanTie RISC-V Ecosystem Conference” in Shanghai, unveiling the new flagship processor “XuanTie C950.”

According to reports, the “XuanTie C950” uses a 5nm process, with a frequency of 3.2GHz. Its SPECint2006 single-core performance has surpassed 70 points for the first time, with overall performance more than three times that of the previous generation XuanTie C920. It is mainly suitable for cloud computing, generative artificial intelligence (AI), high-end robotics, edge computing, and other fields, reaching industry-leading performance levels.

The “XuanTie C950” can handle cloud computing typical workloads at a level comparable to the latest mass-produced CPUs from leading global manufacturers. Leveraging RISC-V open-source openness, it is equipped with a self-developed AI acceleration engine and natively supports large models like Qwen3 and DeepSeek V3 with hundreds of billions of parameters.

In addition, DAMO Academy also announced the new high-performance, high-efficiency processor “XuanTie C925,” with a SPECint2006 score exceeding 12/GHz. Its energy efficiency has improved by 11% compared to the “XuanTie C930.” It is mainly used in smart terminals, industrial control, consumer electronics, and other fields.
