Backpack Responds to Witch-Hunt Determination Controversy: Appeals Channel Launched, Points to be Refunded and Token Buyback Compensation Initiated
Deep Tide TechFlow News, on March 24th, according to Backpack team member Claire, in response to recent user controversy over witch account judgments, Backpack has established an appeal process and plans to initiate a token buyback compensation scheme.
Backpack co-founder Armani and the core team announced the immediate opening of an appeal channel and proposed the “Rule 3”: users operating no more than three accounts on a single device and judged to be witches, after manual appeal verification, will receive more than 50% of their points back. Additionally, the Backpack team will launch a special program in the coming days to buy back tokens on the secondary market, with the acquired tokens being used to specifically compensate users who meet the above conditions.
Claire stated that the impact of the witch judgment on Chinese-speaking users is relatively concentrated because Western teams adhere to the “one person, one account” compliance standard, which differs from the usage habits of Chinese users. It is reported that the Chinese team members have engaged in in-depth communication with Western teams to promote the implementation of the above appeal and compensation mechanisms.
