【Iran Crisis】Cathay Pacific Cancels All Flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh Through May 31
Cathay Pacific (00293)
The suspension of flights to Dubai and Riyadh has been further extended until May 31. According to Cathay Pacific’s announcement on Tuesday (24th), due to the latest developments in the Middle East situation, all flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh have been canceled until May 31 (inclusive).
On the 18th of this month, Cathay Pacific announced that all flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh had been canceled until April 30, stating that they would closely monitor the situation. Passenger and crew safety remains the top priority, and they warned that flight schedules might need further adjustments in the short term.
Affected passengers who have not received notification can check the latest booking status through the “Self-Service Booking Management” portal.
Cathay Pacific has launched special ticketing arrangements to offer customers flexible options. Passengers who have booked flights to and from Hong Kong and Dubai or Riyadh on or before May 31 can rebook, change destinations, or request refunds without paying related fees.
For tickets purchased through travel agencies or third-party websites, please contact them directly to reschedule or request a refund. If tickets were booked via Cathay Pacific’s website, mobile app, or customer service, please contact the customer service team for assistance with new bookings. Refund requests can be handled through the “Self-Service Booking Management” portal.
Cathay Pacific states that due to the latest developments in the Middle East, fees for rebooking, changing destinations, or refunding tickets are waived, allowing more flexible adjustments to travel plans. They understand that travel arrangements may change due to circumstances and are committed to providing safer and more flexible options. If rebooking is chosen, any fare and tax differences between the original and new itinerary will still need to be paid.
