According to Yonhapnews, Daegu City in South Korea announced that it will launch a special campaign to collect outstanding local taxes and strengthen its investigation into hidden assets, including tracking funds using information from the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), and implementing asset seizures on virtual assets, health insurance fees, and various refunds. The local government stated that it will take measures against malicious tax defaulters with large outstanding amounts, including restricting business licenses, publicizing names, and residential searches.
