Abstract generation in progress

Recently, Ms. Wu (pseudonym) from Jiangsu filed a complaint on the Black Cat Complaint Platform, stating that on February 21, 2026, she and her best friend went to the Zhou Da Sheng store at Gaogang Times Square in Taizhou, Jiangsu, and purchased a gold ring for 7,300 yuan. “After bringing it home, I felt the ring was a bit large, so the next day, the 22nd, my best friend and I went to the store to exchange it. That day, my friend also decided to buy the same ring. The store clerk said there were no suitable sizes in stock but could order from headquarters.” After Ms. Wu placed the order, the store received the shipment on February 27. “I asked my husband to pick up the ring from the store. When he brought it home, I noticed the warranty card didn’t have the carat weight, the price was incorrect, and there was no tag on the ring. I raised these questions with the staff. They explained that the delay was due to urgency, and the shop owner directly took the ring back, saying the tags would take at least a week to arrive because updating the system at the company was complicated. Later, on March 1, the store reissued the warranty card. Trusting the Zhou Da Sheng brand, we confirmed the weight again and didn’t insist on the tag issue.”

Woman bought a Zhou Da Jin ring

Unexpectedly, a few days later, Ms. Wu discovered that inside her ring was inscribed “Zhou Da Jin.” After asking her best friend, she found her friend’s ring also had the “Zhou Da Jin” stamp. Ms. Wu found this strange. When she communicated with the store staff, they admitted to an error and told her she could return or exchange the ring at the store.

The store provided the warranty slip

Ms. Wu’s best friend also posted photos of her purchased ring and receipt, confirming her ring was indeed stamped “Zhou Da Jin.” From the chat records and recordings between Ms. Wu and the store staff, it was revealed that the staff once said: “The product is pure gold, definitely not fake. It was just a stamping mistake, our fault. We sincerely apologize and ask for a chance to make amends.”

The Zhou Da Sheng store

Ms. Wu said the store staff told her she could exchange the ring for one with the “Zhou Da Sheng” label. However, she believed that unknowingly buying a ring marked “Zhou Da Jin” was equivalent to purchasing a different brand at the price of “Zhou Da Sheng.” Even if it was pure gold, it couldn’t be considered genuine. Ms. Wu hopes the store will compensate her according to the “three times the value for fake goods” standard. The store explicitly refused. Ms. Wu stated she contacted Zhou Da Sheng headquarters, which responded that Zhou Da Sheng and Zhou Da Jin have no relation, and the matter should be resolved by the store itself. She has filed a complaint with relevant authorities, and the issue is currently under coordination. The Purple Cow News reporter called Zhou Da Sheng headquarters for comment but had not received a reply as of press time.
