According to The Asia Business Daily, South Korean payment company Toss Payments has fully implemented post-quantum cryptography, claiming to be the first in Korea's finance and IT industries. The company stated that the relevant systems have been applied to payment data generation and transmission processes, covering core infrastructure such as data centers, cloud environments, and payment terminals. They also use a hybrid key exchange scheme based on the NIST standard algorithm "ML-KEM" to combine traditional elliptic curve encryption with post-quantum algorithms, addressing potential security risks posed by quantum computing.
