People’s Finance Information, April 1—On March 31, Hang Seng Electronics said at a performance briefing that the decline in revenue in the company’s asset management segment last year was mainly driven by industry-wide “fee and commission reduction” policy adjustments. Due to major changes in the fee structure, the motivation for financial institutions to invest in related IT systems and business expansion has been, to a certain degree, suppressed, resulting in a phased contraction in business within this segment. We believe that this kind of volatility, under the current policy environment, is a common industry-wide pattern. The business climate in 2026 will depend on marginal improvements in the broader environment. If the market environment stabilizes and rebounds, institutions’ willingness to invest will be restored accordingly. At present, we note that some leading institutions are still continuously pushing forward core development, and the key is the return of external certainty.
