Airport "relocated" to "doorstep" Shanghai Forwarding Yard helps companies accelerate integration into the global market

People’s Finance News, April 3—On April 3, a reporter learned from Shanghai’s transportation authorities that, to improve customs clearance efficiency and further reduce logistics costs, Shanghai has progressively built and put into operation forward cargo stations in the Suzhou Industrial Park, Kunshan Economic Development Zone, and the Songjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, effectively “moving” airports to enterprises’ doorsteps. Since trial operations began in 2025, as of this February, the three forward cargo stations in Shanghai have cumulatively processed 1,963 tons of cargo; of that, the processing volume from January to February this year totaled 673 tons, with remarkable development results.
