Q1 consumer goods trade-in sales exceeded 430 billion yuan

Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, April 3 (reporters Yu Hao Wang and Xie Xiyao) According to business data, from January to March this year, sales of consumer goods through trade-in programs for upgrading equipment exceeded 433.17 billion yuan, benefiting 60.93M person-times.

This is what the reporter learned from the Ministry of Commerce on the 3rd.

Specifically, from January to March, applications for subsidies for trading in and replacing vehicles totaled 1.41M, driving new car sales of 228.69 billion yuan. Among them, there were 403k applications for subsidies for scrappage and replacement, driving sales of 51.96 billion yuan; and 403k applications for subsidies for trade-in and replacement, driving sales of 176.73 billion yuan.

From January to March, six categories of home appliances, as well as purchases of digital and smart products through trade-in programs, sold 1M units in total, driving sales of 204.48 billion yuan. Of this, six categories of home appliances through trade-in programs sold 59.53M units, driving sales of 95.43 billion yuan; and purchases of digital and smart products through trade-in sold 36.32 million items, driving sales of 109.05 billion yuan.
