CoinWorld reports that, according to The Asia Business Daily, Korea's Viva Republica (Toss) subsidiary Toss Payments, an electronic payment gateway company, announced on April 3rd that it has become the first company in Korea's finance and IT industries to fully implement post-quantum cryptography. This technology is based on complex mathematical algorithms and can resist brute-force attacks from quantum computers. Toss Payments has deployed this technology across all its infrastructure, including its own data centers, cloud environments, and payment gateways, using a hybrid key exchange method based on the US NIST standard algorithm "ML-KEM," which combines traditional elliptic curve encryption with post-quantum algorithms to address current and future security threats.
