Allow "limited" personnel to pass both ways. Lafa Port reopens from the 18th.

Israeli defense ministry officials said on the 15th that the Rafah crossing in the Gaza Strip is scheduled to reopen in both directions starting on the 18th, allowing “limited” personnel to cross in both directions. The Rafah crossing is located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip at the border with Egypt and is crucial for humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. In May 2024, Israeli forces took control of the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing. On the first day of a large-scale military operation against Iran jointly launched by Israel and the United States on February 28, the Israeli side closed the Rafah crossing citing security concerns.
