Middle East situation causes fuel shortages; hot springs in many parts of Japan are forced to close.

People’s Finance and News April 4—According to a report by Japanese media on April 3, influenced by the Middle East situation, Japan’s crude oil import volume has fallen sharply, leading to a tight supply of heavy oil derived from crude oil refining. Hot spring resorts and bathing facilities across multiple parts of Japan have been forced to close due to a lack of heavy oil used as fuel, while some other hot springs reduce costs by shortening operating hours.
