People’s Finance and Economics, April 3—According to a statement from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, on March 27, the Department of Electronic Information of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a symposium in Wuhan, Hubei Province, on the “15th Five-Year Plan” electronic information manufacturing industry planning. The meeting pointed out that the electronic information manufacturing industry has characteristics including a large scale, long industrial chain, active innovation, a big market, a high level of internationalization, high risks to the safety of industrial and supply chains, and that both strengths and weaknesses are particularly prominent; it also shows clear regional cluster-based development and significant empowerment and leadership roles, and it has especially strong driving effects on the development of industrial economies in all provinces. We must accurately grasp the new situations and new tasks faced by the development of the electronic information manufacturing industry during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, adhere to a systematic approach, strengthen overall coordination, fully absorb local opinions and suggestions, do a good job in the coordination and linkage between the central and local levels, accelerate the formulation of the “15th Five-Year Plan” electronic information manufacturing industry planning, and provide strong support for promoting high-quality development of the electronic information manufacturing industry and building a strong manufacturing country.
