Just found out you can actually give your dog orange slices and they're totally safe, which kinda surprised me. So if you're wondering can dogs eat orange slices, the answer's yes but with some rules attached. Basically one to three slices max per day, and it should only be like 10% of their overall diet. Makes sense since too much can mess with their stomach. The thing is, oranges have all these vitamins—C, calcium, potassium, fiber—stuff that's actually good for them. The hydration part is clutch too since they're like 90% water, perfect for hot days. But here's the catch: you gotta remove the peel and seeds first because apparently there's harmful stuff in there. Also don't give them canned oranges or juice with added sugar. And if your dog has diabetes, skip it entirely because of the sugar content. I was reading that puppies need to be introduced to orange slices slowly since their digestive system is more sensitive. Like, they might get GI upset easier than adult dogs. The vet advice is pretty consistent—it's a fine treat but not something you need to do regularly since commercial dog food already has all the nutrients they need. So yeah, can dogs eat orange slices? Definitely, just keep it occasional and moderate. Might be a fun way to switch up their treats without going overboard.
