Core Scientific plans to turn its Pecos, Texas, site into an AI-focused data center campus with up to 1.5 GW of capacity. About 1 GW is expected to be available for lease. About 300 MW now used for Bitcoin mining is set to be converted to data center operations, and Core Scientific has bought more than 200 additional acres for the site.
